Methodology
How DealCharts processes NPORT-P holdings
- Read public SEC Form N-PORT / NPORT-P filings for registered funds.
- Normalize fund names, CIKs, LEIs, SEC series IDs, filing dates, and reporting periods.
- Extract holdings rows with position value, CUSIPs, tranche labels, and asset categories.
- Map structured-finance positions to DealCharts deal keys when CUSIP and deal metadata allow it.
- Publish fund pages, facts JSON, holder rankings, collateral-linked distress pages, and citation paths.
Boundary
Mapped structured finance, not total AUM
The public stats here are deliberately scoped to fund holdings that can be linked to structured-finance entities on DealCharts. Use them for exposure discovery, peer overlap, citation, and diligence routing. Do not read them as total fund AUM, ratings coverage, or every field available in raw SEC N-PORT XML.
